Meet Saagar Sinha

Our Delivery & Customer Success lead

Or in his own words: Ten-dimensional Thinker; Wannabe Writer; Full-time Father; Eternal Optimist.

Saagar makes sure that our customers get up and running with Cuvama in quick time and successfully sell and deliver on value. He is constantly looking for opportunities to push the boundaries of our product so that our customers can get the most out of it. His background is a combination of SaaS value selling and management consulting, so Cuvama hits his absolute sweet spot.

What did you do before Cuvama?

I spent close to 5 years doing Value Selling for Salesforce at their London offices. I worked very closely with the extended sales teams on winning marquee deals and saw first-hand the difference that selling value could make: both for a sales individual and for a sales organisation. I also worked on some strategic projects that gave me an overview of SaaS roles beyond sales. Prior to that, I was a Senior Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company, where I spent over 6 years working in India, Australia, Africa and finally Europe and the UK.

What excites you the most about the future at Cuvama?

That it is limitless. We have made a start, and a promising one at that, with value management at B2B SaaS companies. I see tremendous opportunity for the same principles of value management to be extended to other B2B industries e.g., industrial equipment, professional services. Having worked extensively in SaaS, I also see us playing a role in meeting other needs of SaaS players. With the kind of rockstar team and value system that we have in place at Cuvama, I feel day by day that we are creating something very very special.

And your favourite book?

Reading, writing, and cricket are my passions. Naming my favourite book is therefore a question that I have never been able to satisfactorily answer. It is also a question that I love answering. Some recent reads that I rate very highly include: A Gentleman in Moscow (Amor Towles), The Spy and the Traitor (Ben Macintyre) and the 2 books: Prisoners of Geography and The Power of Geography (Tim Marshall). If I had to pick the author I’d like to emulate, I would go for P.G. Wodehouse and my Christmas routine every year includes re-reading the entire Harry Potter series. Having 2 toddlers, I am also certain that it is only a matter of time before I am able to recite from memory, the full text of The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

Where can we read some of your own blogs?

I like to write. These days I’m writing what we are calling Saagar’s SaaS-y Sentiments. Please, take a look and let me know what you think!

In “The Dream Team” I draw a parallel between the various roles played in a sales / pre-sales context in SaaS and those in the starting XI of Il Joga Bonito. The latest, “The Inception of Value”, is a blog that only came together after working with the ProCARE team and learning from their CEO an important piece to value selling that I missed for years.
